Los Angeles-based author Taylor Jenkins Reid has produced hit after hit in recent years, with several of her novels receiving global acclaim.
Four Taylor Jenkins Reid books – Carrie Soto Is Back, Malibu Rising, Daisy Jones and the Six, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – have made it to the New York Times Bestseller list, and the prolific author has penned a further four titles: One True Loves, Maybe in Another Life, After I Do, and Forever, Interrupted.
Carrie Soto Is Back and Malibu Rising are the most recent Taylor Jenkins Reid books on shelves (released in 2022 and 2021, respectively), but it’s her 2019 hit Daisy Jones and the Six that has been adapted for television. The Netflix miniseries, launching in 2023, stars Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, as well as Sam Clafin, Suki Waterhouse and Timothy Olyphant.
Three of Jenkins Reid’s novels have also taken out the Best Historical Fiction prize in the Goodreads Choice Awards, with Daisy Jones & The Six receiving the gong in 2019, Malibu Rising being named 2021’s winner, and Carrie Soto is Back awarded the prize in 2022. Her novels are also favourites of actress Reese Witherspoon, who has shared them with fans in her famous book club.
